Taiyo is a Momotaro-type tomato with a deep yellow to orange colour and a high content of cis-lycopene. The plant shows medium to strong vigour with excellent balance, even under heavy yield. Fruits have a subtle flavour with umami and sweet notes, forming compact clusters of 3–5 fruits.They are round to flat-round with a short, upright calyx. Their multilocular structure supports good shelf life.
