Recent research with ‘Ground Control’ performed by Wageningen University & Research (WUR) has revealed that growing Tagetes patula as a green manure crop has a positive impact on the yield of potatoes, among other crops. In addition, Tagetes ‘Ground Control’ contributes to the supply of organic matter and improves the structure and moisture-retention capacity of soil. In general, 120 tons of fresh mass per hectare is produced, which produces a considerable amount of effective organic matter.
