Takii traditionally ushers in summer with a sunny sunflower campaign

Traditionally, Takii celebrates the start of summer with a radiant consumer campaign centred around sunflowers. On Thursday, 20 June, the longest day of the year, a colourful sunflower wall will once again adorn Museumplein at the entrance of the Van Gogh Museum. Considerable online attention will also be devoted to the queen of summer flowers. For Takii and the Van Gogh Museum, the sunflower is the perfect symbol to herald the summer.

Keeping sunflowers in the spotlight

Despite the current, predominantly wet, growing season that presents significant challenges for sunflower growers, Takii remains committed to keeping sunflowers prominently in the minds of consumers, thereby supporting the growers. Friederike van der Boon, Manager Marketing at Takii, explains: “Through initiatives like these, we aim to continue highlighting the beauty and symbolism of
the sunflower. The Van Gogh Museum annually supports this message and helps to bring sunflowers to the attention of a broad audience, including both museum visitors and online followers worldwide.

Sunny greetings from Amsterdam

Rain or shine, Takii invites everyone in the vicinity of Amsterdam to come and celebrate summer at the Sunrich sunflower wall on Museumplein on 20 June. Embrace the summer amidst radiant sunflowers, for after rain comes sunshine.
